Today is moving day! Photos rule the day, not words. Notre Dame, as seen from the Pont de la
Tournelle. Renovated apartment house on the Île Saint-Louis has about a dozen apartments in it. Great tall windows! On the side of that house was a plaque about an obscure poet who lived there. The name of this restaurant on the Île Saint-Louis translates to “Cow Islet,” so we decided it is the sister restaurant of the Island Cow resto on Sanibel. Goofy cows decorate the windows. I inadvertently photographed myself photographing goofy cows. |
Sunday, July 7, 2013 The
lunch specials blackboard at Les Trois Carafes, 3
rue Linne, in the 5th arrondissement. Zucchini
stuffed with a delicious beef mixture, above, and chicken fricassee, below,
at Les Trois Carafes. Side
dishes (potatoes, rice, vegetables) come in a cute
little pot at Les Trois Carafes. A
delicious, homemade pear tarte tatin at Les Trois Carafes. The
old Roman arena, now adapted for modern-day kids playing. Here and there, you can still see some of the
old stones of les Arènes
de Lutece. A
Polish historical library on the Île Saint-Louis is
home to a little museum featuring Chopin’s salon. |
